Life is built around relationships. All relationships require time spent together in order that those developing a relationship know one another deeply and appreciate each other. Often, great relationships develop as people walk together honestly sharing their thoughts and feelings with each other. The most important relationship anyone can have is with God. As the one who made us, He knows us completely. He wants us to know Him as much as we can understand. He loves us completely and desires that we love him as well. He also desires that we know and love one another deeply.
In order to help people know and love God and each other better, I have compiled a devotion for each day of the year. As the all-knowing Creator, God is the best source for discovering truth about our world, what we are like, what we need, and how best to live. He is also the best source to know about who He is, what He is like, How He thinks, and what He desires.
Each day ends with a few questions to help the reader evaluate their life or think through their relationship with God. It is a time to share thoughts with God and hear what God may be saying to you. It is like taking a walk with God, experiencing His love, and understanding His truth and promises. The goal is that more and more people will be drawn to God with a deeply personal love.

Dave Collins graduated from college, married his college sweetheart, and set out to live the American life. Beginning as a teacher and coach, he moved on to work in a church, developing an athletic program and adult programs. ​The opportunity to work with young people through the ministry of Young Life led to 30 fulfilling and productive years.
